As 2019 comes to an end, let\u2019s take some time to consider all the<\/span><\/p>\n

attachments we have nourished, all the ego-masks we have been<\/span><\/p>\n

wearing.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

For many of us, this year has been a year of fighting against<\/span><\/p>\n

certitude and division, sometimes against our own friends or<\/span><\/p>\n

families.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Political, economic and social challenges are ahead of<\/span><\/p>\n

our societies forcing us to accept impermanence and embracing the changes.<\/span><\/p>\n

It implies more than ever Buddhist practitioners need to practice.<\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

So, let\u2019s hope that next year, 2020, will be the year of harmony. The year<\/span><\/p>\n

of taking the battle inward, fighting our own certitude and<\/span><\/p>\n

division.<\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Our Old Sun, Ming Zhen Shakya, used to say that her Zen was very<\/span><\/p>\n

simple and could be summarized as the Way of Action (Karma Yoga). When<\/span><\/p>\n

we take action, for the sake of all beings, there is no I-me-mine, no<\/span><\/p>\n

Ego, not even an inch of something special called Zen. Beyond our<\/span><\/p>\n

own egos, through action, we can manifest our True Nature.<\/span><\/p>\n

But True Action takes true honesty…. the kind of honesty needed to<\/span><\/p>\n

face what is in front of us and accept the reality of change and<\/span><\/p>\n

impermanence.<\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Our lives are always changing, yet they are always starting right here<\/span><\/p>\n

and now. In every situation, go forward and take action.<\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Let\u2019s vow to talk less and act more in this coming year!<\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n
