Suggestions are offered.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>We begin with some basics which provide a foundation for our practice.<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>We must take up the reality that our body, along with every other thing, is impermanent.<\/li>\n<li>We need to practice <strong><em>dispassion<\/em><\/strong> for the things of the world. It requires that we do not get attached to the fleeting world of objects.<\/li>\n<li>We do our best to attain calm-abiding about the world of things &amp; others.<\/li>\n<li>We must be diligent and study our mental formations and our senses. We must be willing to STOP &amp; EMPTY the attachments in the mind as well as the delights and pains of the senses.<\/li>\n<li>We must be willing to strengthen our spiritual fortitude through concentration and meditation.<\/li>\n<li>We must cultivate <strong><em>patience &amp; strengths <\/em><\/strong>to withstand changes that come into our lives.<\/li>\n<li>We must study the teachings which give us enough confidence that we trust &amp; follow them.<\/li>\n<li>We practice putting our attention and concentration on love, respect &amp; trust in things beyond the material realm.<\/li>\n<li>We make every effort to find the conviction that the world is suffering which leads us to longing for awakening.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><strong>Sufferings<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong><em>Getting what we want &amp; not being satisfied. Not getting what we want &amp; not being satisfied. Being with those we do not love, and not satisfied.
