Is a Love Affair real? Or does it fade away and change overtime?
Here’s a Hint!
Everything changes!
Let me ask again, what do you know is REAL?
Are we capable of discerning Real from Unreal?
We certainly think we can discern what is REAL from the UNREAL! Most of us have watched a movie, read a novel, heard some gossip, met someone new only to find out that they appear and feel to be a phoney baloney, a fiction. Most of us realize that fiction comes from our imagination even though it may strike us as REAL!
Can WE separate the REAL from the UNREAL?
Sounds simple.
But we are generally fooled and captured by the conditioning of our conditioned existence. Our conditioning determines our fate when we are one-pointed about our conditioning! Have YOU told yourself that your conditioning is what made YOU into what you think and believe YOU are?
To study our conditioning we must be willing and able to study ourselves to the degree that we study what our conditioned history is.
To understand this we need to study both the conditioning of the REAL and the UNREAL from our history. Are YOU able to decipher what was a conditioned reality or just your imagination, wishful thinking? We also need to understand that we have a body, mind, intellect & ego that are continuously used to take action in this phenomenal world.
Ask yourself, how do you make REAL what you believe to be true? But do not forget to include…HOW DO YOU MAKE THE UNREAL TO BE REAL?
There are two levels of existence.
- The conditioned level of existence. IT is temporary. Everything in the conditioned world is impermanent, unstable and subject to being disappointing.
- The transcendent level is to be open and accepting of the constant change.
There may be times when you experience a deep loneliness, however you need to know and understand that when you experience loneliness you reject your own existence. When “YOU believe you are not enough, YOU suffer.”
The Way out of this unstable suffering is to let go of regrets that build up into anxiety. Practice focusing on the present moment without the conditioned mindset of existence.
Make a concerted effort to stop yourself from seeing yourself through the eyes & words of others. Stick with studying yourself. It is where we begin.
The practice is about a recognition of transcendence. Recognize that you are not what others think or say about you. And what YOU think & say about yourself!
Study what surfaces in the mind with the strength and attitude to let what arises come and go. DO not get entangled with what comes into your mind.
Drop your grip on attachments. Make an effort to circumvent suffering. Don’t buy into the suffering that comes and goes again and again. It is merely fretting.
Do not get entangled in the conditioned worldliness.
In the image above the monk and the dragon meet each other but neither one of them gets harmed. Cause & effect does occur. Do not take refuge in suffering.
This substack is just the tip of the iceberg of cause & effect. We fair much better when we are able to face what shows up in our lives without getting entangled…without falling into the icebergs of cause & effect.
We fair better when we DO NOT identify with the dragon, with the icebergs and with our physical qualities of form, feelings, perceptions, impulses and the stacks of fleeting thoughts in consciousness.
REMEMBER.
We did not create ourselves. Instead we have a sense there is THAT which creates our existence.
CONTEMPLATE the mystery of YOUR existence.
